This summer I had the honor of interning at a company called TxDot, a startup based in Austin that provides software for smart agriculture. We were tasked with designing the next iteration of a farm management system that would be used to monitor the efficiency of farm operations. Although the company was initially founded to help farmers improve their productivity in the field, it was quickly realized that it was more than that.
The idea was to enable farmers to manage their operations through the Internet of Things. Instead of a mechanical farm management system that only worked in the field, it would be able to monitor and control farm operations in the field and even remotely from anywhere in the world. Of course, this isn’t just for farmers either. In the future, there could easily be a farm management system that allows smart homes and other smart buildings to monitor the efficiency of their building and even remotely control and manage them.
In order to implement this type of system, the internet of things (or “iot” as it is also called) would have to provide a secure and reliable way to communicate with the system. So for example, the system would have to tell the smart farm management system what to do and how to do it, and also be able to send and receive data from and to the internet.
A great example of how to do this is the web-based app called, “The World’s Most Spacious Home.” The app is a way of showing a house’s performance and how the house would use the internet to control and manage all the electrical systems of the house. It also gives a lot of context to how the house is functioning on the internet, but its own system actually works fine.
The app itself is built on the idea that the internet is a network, so that you can view the internet connectivity of any device connected to the internet. It would be quite useful if the internet was not limited to a small group of people.
The idea of a network is also great for the network of our internet of things. If we can connect anything to the internet, then we can all share a home network. I know that a lot of people associate the internet with the internet of things, but it’s the internet of things that is the internet of networks.
It’s a smart idea for networking if you can’t use your internet connection, but I have a lot of trouble with the idea of networking for everyone. For example, I have a router that I use for a lot of different things, from my home security system to my computer to my tv. If I want to use the internet to share my router with my family, friends, and coworkers, I can’t. Instead, I have to use 2 different routers to get into the internet.
The idea of networking is a good one and I think we can do this easily for everyone. It can be done with a few routers, but it really isn’t that hard. We only need a few lines of code to get the whole thing running.

If you’ve ever been a “net engineer”, you’ll recognize this. This is exactly like a home network, but instead of just wires, we use a router to connect to other routers to create a whole new network. I’m sure you can imagine the possibilities.
