This is a great article about how to stop Amazon email notifications and I have always wanted to write about it, so I am posting it here. If you are on a business email list and you want to get notified about new products, you can just unsubscribe. However, if you are on a personal email list and you don’t want to be on the list, it can be confusing.
Amazon was the first and foremost distributor of e-mail notifications, and the company also put out an e-mail notification reminder, which was a pretty useful tool as it allowed people to keep up with new e-mails and messages, but also allowed friends to send messages after their e-mail was removed from the list.
The one thing I always think of when I don’t find a good reason to unsubscribe is when I try to stop a message, I find it very annoying. I think that when I unsubscribe I am, in effect, in the control of what I have on my list, and I think that’s a good thing for me to do, because I’m only trying to be proactive in the future.
Exactly. Not only does Amazon take e-mail addresses and other personal information of customers and friends, but they also keep track of what e-mails you have been sending them via the Amazon web site. If you want to be proactive you should stop sending out those e-mails and unsubscribe from Amazon. While Amazon isn’t necessarily doing you any harm (most of the messages you send Amazon are probably harmless), it’s a good idea to have some control over your e-mail.
You can unsubscribe from Amazon by going to your account settings, then Settings > My Account > Unsubscribe from Amazon. It’s worth noting that Amazon is one of the few companies who track your every move via your e-mail.
Amazon uses its email address to send e-mails and to send notifications to your friends who send them messages. By default, e-mails are sent over the internet. However, e-mail addresses are not part of your account, so you should check your spam and find out if your friends are using your e-mail address.
This is actually a very common thing to do for most of us, so it’s not such a huge deal. The problem is that Amazon sends notifications to people who don’t have an Amazon account. If you do have an Amazon account, you should unsubscribe from Amazon’s e-mail notifications by going to Your Account > Settings > Edit and uncheck Amazon Email Notifications.
Amazon emails are sent out not just to you, but also to anyone who has an account. So if your friends are using your amazon email address, it will actually send all of your e-mail to everyone who has one. The problem is that Amazon users get so many emails that it can be annoying.
Amazon sends out the emails to ALL people who have an account. If you are an Amazon user, you should unsubscribe from the mailing list. The reason being is that you can unsubscribe without having to visit the site to do so.
The problem is that Amazon has a habit of sending emails to everyone who has an account even if you’ve unsubscribed. I have a friend who was a customer of Amazon when they first launched. At some point he realized that he had to unsubscribe to get the emails he was getting, and he did. After a while the emails started to stop coming in. Amazon has since changed its policy, but apparently it took them a while to figure out that it was an issue.
