This is why you should disable the chrome profiles. You can use this to disable specific pages from loading in your browser.
They actually get disabled by default, but you can find them on your extensions list. Also, you can disable chrome with the Chrome menu under the ‘Edit’ menu in Chrome.
Chrome is really a handy tool for keeping track of what websites you visit on a regular basis. The chrome profiles are a way to disable them from loading in your internet browser so you can see what sites you’re browsing without having to refresh.
Chrome is not just a web browser, of course. It is a powerful piece of software that can do a lot of other things as well. So while I was able to disable the chrome profiles in my Chrome, Firefox, or Safari browsers, I couldn’t disable the chrome profile on Google’s Chrome. I guess I’ll just have to wait for Google to fix it.
I found that doing this, and then doing away with it, was a bit of a hassle – the chrome profiles are quite handy when you want to do a quick search. It also helps prevent you from using Google Chrome as your main browser.
Chrome is one of the most popular browsers on the web, so while we can go into a bit more detail about how the chrome profiles work, I’m not sure if they are still in use. We have a bit of a conflict between our need to have our browser be as secure as possible and the desire to not be tricked by a browser that has a “safe” mode for some of the more obvious exploits, and that is why the chrome profiles are so handy.
If you use chrome profiles, you can disable your chrome profile (for most people this is done by right-clicking on the profile and choosing the “Block the profile” option) and still use google chrome as your main browser. Just be aware that if you have a chrome extension installed that is using the chrome profile (like Adium), you’ll be unable to use it.
Most people don’t know this. The chrome profiles are the chrome user profile and they can be used to disable your browser for a limited time. Also, you can prevent the chrome extensions you have installed like Adium from using the chrome profiles at all.
Adium is so new that it hasn’t been confirmed by Google that its profile can be uninstalled by Chrome.
I was about to say, you can disable Adium, but I think it needs to be disabled first.
